UAQ is set to build a Logistics City and UAQ Cargo Airport to support air cargo shipments, enabling efficient air freight operations and advanced solutions in the cargo sectors. H.H. Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Qaiwain and Chairman of the Executive Council announced these initiatives at the UAE Government Annual Meetings 2024. The UAQ Cargo Airport project leverages its prime location within the Emirates to become a hub for air cargo processing with advanced solutions tailored to the different modes of transportation. In support of Umm Al Qaiwain’s Vision 2033, the project aims to boost the emirate’s economic standing, enhance infrastructure efficiency, attract foreign investment, and drive technological advancement by incorporating modern technologies into supply chain management.
