The UAE and Kenya have signed a CEPA to boost trade and investment relations, strengthen supply chains, and enhance market access across the Middle East and Africa, stated Kenyan Foreign Ministry in a statement. His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President, UAE, and His Excellency Dr William Samoei Ruto, President, Kenya, participated in signing of the the agreement. “The pact strengthens Kenya’s position as a gateway to East and Southern Africa and reaffirms the UAE’s role as a global logistics and financial hub linking the Middle East, Asia, and beyond,” it stated. The pact strengthens UAE to Kenya cooperation, with bilateral non-oil trade reaching US$3.1 billion in the first nine months of 2024—a 29.1 per cent increase from the same period in 2023.
