UAE inks pact to develop Trincomalee into logistics hub

The UAE has signed a tripartite agreement to develop Trincomalee into a logistics hub, strengthening regional fuel security and infrastructure connectivity, said His Excellency Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi, UAE Minister of Investment and Managing Director & Group Chief Executive Officer of ADQ, said. “Together with our partners in India and Sri Lanka, we aim to unlock the full potential of Trincomalee as a key energy and logistics gateway for South Asia. This agreement exemplifies the UAE’s commitment to regional partnerships promoting diplomacy, long-term economic resilience and sustainable infrastructure development.”
