
UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has launched CAR Airspace Part Uspace, the region’s first regulation for certifying air navigation service providers for unmanned aircraft, disclosed His Excellency Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director-General, GCAA. “As drone operations are set to double in the near future, this proactive regulatory framework will serve as a model for seamless drone-commercial aviation integration, further cementing the UAE’s position as a regional leader in the aviation industry,” he added. This framework ensures safety and operational standards, enabling seamless drone integration for logistics. The regulation is set to enhance efficiency in cargo and logistics by supporting the growth of drone-based deliveries and transport services.
