According to the DHL’s Airfreight state of the industry July report, the air cargo demand for the Middle East & Africa region has spiked to 10% YoY (in tons). It is noteworthy that the air cargo demand growth for the region was a healthy 19% YoY in May 2024. The demand growth for ME&A is only second to Asia Pacific region which saw a growth of 15% YoY. The global growth in air cargo demand rises to 10% YoY. Despite a quite summer period, it is estimated that the demand for air cargo globally will soon pick up pace and continue to grow substantially.
