Amal Mohamed, Scientific Director, Aycell Scientific said, “Supply Chain Integrity (SCI) along with SpotSee has introduced an innovative healthcare solution, Temperature Indicator, to enable users to keep a check what temperatures their shipments are exposed to. The device is the first in the GCC and our philosophy is to provide transparency to the end users.” There are three segments, first is Cell and Gene Therapy—a groundbreaking innovation, which is available in the Middle East for the first time, he added. “Quality testing of pharma is our second segment; it involves advanced NDMA testing and use of technologies such as GC-MS and LC-MS to detect carcinogen and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Users are being delivered their products without knowing at what temperature they have been exposed to. In this regard, we have collaborated with SpotSee to bring the new technology. The product, which is approved by the FDA, is currently being used in USA and Europe,” he added. Any shipment going to the end user must be tagged with this, the firm stated.
