Saudia Cargo has recorded a 64 per cent year-on-year increase in date exports, transporting 1.5 million kg in 2024 amid rising global demand, stated a company press release. The airline credited its cold chain technologies for maintaining quality from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia farms to international markets. This reflects the increasing global demand for this exceptional product, sourced from various regions and cities across the Kingdom, including Al Ahsa, Riyadh, Qassim, and Madinah, known for producing premium date varieties, it stated.
