As per the latest statistical analysis by Mawani (Saudi Ports Authority), the Saudi Arabia ports have reported a significant growth of 15.72% YoY in container handling in July. The kingdom’s terminals received 271,465 containers in July 2024 in comparison to 234,592 in July 2023. The volume of handled tonnage also surged 9.11% YoY, scaling up to 27.38 million tonnes. The data also revealed kingdom’s general shipment volumes which reached 701,606 tonnes, and the overall container handling operations touched 622,856 marks in July.
