QR Cargo & Unilode partner for ULD digitalisation initiative

QR Cargo has partnered with Unilode Aviation Solutions to digitalise its fleet of 42,000 Unit Load Devices (ULDs), marking the largest ULD digitalisation programme by an airline, Mark Drusch, Chief Officer Cargo, QR Cargo, said. The collaboration leverages Unilode’s advanced technologies, providing real-time visibility of ULD locations, sensory data, and asset utilisation. The partnership extends Unilode’s tag and reader network across Qatar Airways Cargo’s global routes and incorporates tools such as e-ULD mobile app, web portal, and data analytics platforms to improve ULD tracking and reduce costs. “Our shared vision for ULD digitalisation and innovation will undoubtedly set new benchmarks in the air cargo industry for operational excellence, enabling us to elevate our customer experience and optimise our resources. By implementing Unilode’s innovative digital solutions, we can allocate ULDs more across our vast network of destinations,” he added.
