Now, Challenge Group receives IATA lithium battery certification

Challenge Group has now achieved IATA’s CEIV Lithium Battery Certification. As per an IATA report , close to 1.3 million shipments of lithium batteries are ferried through air cargo annually. It is also estimated that 5 per cent of air cargo shipments, includes lithium batteries. “As the number of batteries being shipped globally continues to increase, it is essential these vital items are transported safely and efficiently. IATA’s CEIV lithium batteries were established to raise standards, spread best practices, and ensure regulatory compliance across the supply chain. We commend Challenge Group for achieving CEIV lithium battery certification. This gives customers total confidence in Challenge Group’s world-class performance and quality credentials for lithium battery shipments,” Brendan Sullivan, Global Head, Cargo, IATA, commented.
