Matt Petot, CEO & Founder, Cargo Ai, said, “I believe 2025 will witness an increase in environmental regulations across many countries, requiring firms to not only measure their impact but also actively reduce it. In air cargo, an effective way to lower CO2 emissions is by shifting to sea freight. But that is not practical, as air cargo is used out of necessity, not preference. Air cargo is critical in cases of quick delivery of goods. A viable alternative is optimising air cargo operations. For example, selecting efficient or alternative routes can reduce CO2 emissions by 50 per cent. In many cases, extending delivery times from two to three days is a reasonable trade-off for significant environmental benefits. At our firm, we are committed to helping others embrace these changes and work towards a more sustainable future,” Petot added.
