IATA reported 3.6 per cent year-on-year demand growth for air cargo in November for Middle Eastern carriers with an 8.2 per cent year-on-year increase in global air cargo demand, marking the 16th consecutive month of growth, Willie Walsh, Director General, IATA, said. International operations saw a 9.5 per cent rise, while cargo capacity grew by 4.6 per cent, signalling continued momentum in the sector. “November was a good month for air cargo. We are looking to close 2024 on a profitable note, he said. This strong performance is likely to extend into 2025,” Walsh added.
