Menzies Aviation, the leading service partner to the world’s airports and airlines, which recently extended its pact with Kuwait-based Jazeera Airways. The announcement marks the next step in a partnership with the airline, which includes passenger, ramp, and air cargo services at seven airports in five countries. The company has now been awarded seven ground handling licenses by the Spanish Airport Authority (AENA), in a landmark tender spanning 41 licenses at airports across Spain.
The largest ground handling tender in the world, estimated to be worth more than 5 billion EUR, saw Menzies enter a competitive tender process that has resulted in becoming one of the main ground services partners in Spain. Menzies has been awarded ground handling licenses for Barcelona (BCN), Palma Mallorca (PMI), Malaga (AGP), Alicante (ALC), Gran Canaria (LPA), Tenerife Sur (TFS) and Tenerife Norte (TFN) airports. The seven-year licenses will see Menzies provide full ramp and passenger services at these airports from early 2024 to 2031.
