ME & Africa, Asia-Pacific air cargo capacity surges to 9%: DHL

As per the DHL’s airfreight state of the industry report July 2024, it is revealed that the air cargo capacity growth for Middle East & Africa – Asia Pacific has experienced a significant growth of 9% YoY (in metric tons). On the other hand, the reverse route (Asia Pacific - Middle East & Africa) shown a 6% YoY growth rate in the air cargo capacity. The global international air cargo capacity growth rate stands at 7% YoY. It is estimated that the air cargo capacity market growth rate would further increase in the 3rd and 4th quarters or H2 2024.
