Magma Aviation is expanding to the Middle East with the addition of two aircraft and a new office in Dubai. The two converted freighters are an Airbus A321-200 (YL-LDZ) and a Boeing 737-800. The company is one of the few cargo operators with access to both A321P2F and 737-800BCF capabilities, a company release stated. It has previously specialised in the operation of wide-body freighters. The Avia Solutions-owned company stated the two aircraft would be based in the UAE and would address growing cargo demand in the region. Its fleet previously consisted of three Boeing 747-400 freighters operated by Air Atlanta Icelandic on services from Europe to Africa, the US, Middle East, India and Hong Kong. The A321P2F will be operated by sister company Smart Lynx Airlines and the 737-800 will be operated by sister compa Air Explore.
