
Maersk has launched a logistics park at the Jeddah Islamic Port joining hands with Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani). The company claims it to be the largest logistics facility in the Middle East. The logistics park is built in an 2,25,000 square meters at a manufacturing cost of US$250 million. This logistics facility will provide state-of-the-art logistics services in the region, providing multi-modal connectivity, and warehousing solutions for different requirements in the sector. “The logistics park will provide highly optimised logistics services to assist the movement of trade and export to foreign markets and enhance the work of supply chains and logistics,” Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Mawani Chairman, said.
