‘Logistics to fund US$ 36 bn to Sultanate’s GDP by 2040’

Sultanate of Oman’s logistics sector will probably contribute RO14 billion (approximately US$ 36 billion) to Oman’s GDP by 2040, revealed Jana Treeck, Managing Director, Oxford Business Group, Middle East. As of 2023, logistics accounted for 7 per cent of Oman’s GDP, and in the first nine months of 2024, it contributed RO1.7 billion (6.1%) to the economy.  “Oman is making rapid strides in economic diversification under Vision 2040,” he added.
