
Air cargo movement from Kuwait International Airport last year was around 210 million kg, revealed Imad Al-Jalawi, Acting Director General, Civil Aviation, Kuwait Airport. A rise of 26 per cent in cargo movement, and 23 per cent in aircraft traffic was recorded by the airport.
Air cargo traffic experienced a 3 per cent boost, marking significant growth over the year 2023 compared to the preceding year. The total freight movement in 2023 reached, with incoming freight movement totaling about 170 million kg.
Outgoing freight movement amounted to 40.3 million kg during the same period. The airport is planning to increase capacity and establish a new regional air hub in the Gulf; these strategic moves will be matched by a modern terminal building and will set a new environmental benchmark for airport buildings.
