KSA logistics witnesses 267% increase amid Vision 2030



The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) has witnessed a growth of 267 per cent in logistics sector facilities since 2021, as per the recent data by the General Authority for Statistics (GSTAT). By 2023, the Kingdom hosted 22 logistics hubs spanning 34 million square metres, aiming to become a regional logistics leader under Vision 2030. The Eastern Province led in the number of hubs, with six centres, covering 6.3 million sq. mtrs., while the Makkah Region boasted the largest total area with five hubs, with 20 million sq. mtrs. Riyadh followed with five centers occupying 4.9 million sq. mtrs.  The Kingdom has 12,451 warehouses in 2023, totaling 22.8 million sq. mtrs. Riyadh dominated with 52.9 per cent of this space, followed by Makkah (17.9%) and the Eastern Province (14.3%).  This growth highlights KSA’s role as a regional logistics hub is backed by a US$106.6 billion investment in expanding land, air, and sea cargo capabilities.
