
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) is set to strengthen its logistics capabilities with the development of 18 new logistics zones, requiring investments exceeding SR10 billion (US$2.66 billion) to boost infrastructure, as per officials. During the sixth Supply Chain Conference in Riyadh, Transport and Logistics Minister Saleh Al-Jasser announced plans to expand the number of logistics zones from 22 to 59 by 2030, aligning with the country’s broader economic vision. He stated, “The Kingdom has strengthened its logistical capabilities to support the national economy. This progress has attracted leading global firms to invest in the logistics sector. Both local and international private sectors have committed to establishing several logistics zones, with contracts signed for the creation of 18 logistics zones in ports, totaling investments exceeding SR10 billion.”
