Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Climate Envoy Adel Al-Jubeir highlighted the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s commitment to developing an eco-friendly logistics industry during a chat at the Global Logistics Forum in Riyadh. Al-Jubeir said, “Being green is profitable. Being environmentally friendly can be extremely lucrative. There’s often confusion stemming from the emotional discussions surrounding climate change; people conflate these emotions with reality. The reality is that investing in renewable energy is highly profitable.” Al-Jubeir said the vital role of efficiency in the logistics sector, highlighting its importance for success in a competitive global market. “Efficiency is key. As the saying goes, “the future belongs to the efficient,” he said, noting that a company’s ability to produce, package, transport effectively, and market goods has an impact on its sales and overall performance.
