Jazan Port awards 3 logistics contracts worth SAR135 million

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Jazan City Port Basic and Transformative Industries has announced the signing of three construction and operational logistics contracts worth over SAR315 million (US$84 million). These contracts were awarded to China Harbor Engineering Company Arabia, Al Dafe for Trading & Contracting and Walid Mughashi Establishment for Operation and Maintenance. The projects include design and construction of a bridge linking the deposit and re-export area on the manufactural island to the city port, the establishment of a city support services warehouse, and a contract for the operation and maintenance of temporary accommodation, the company stated. According to Jazan City Port, the initiative is aimed at enhancing the port’s logistical capacity and improving the flow of heavy transport. “We look forward to forging new partnerships and contributing to the region’s renewable energy goals with the same passion and dedication that has driven our success in the Middle East,” Jesus Gutierrez, General Manager, X-NOOR, said.
