IATA lauds air cargo relief efforts for Morocco

The UAE, Czechia, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Spain, and the UK facilitated by aviation have transported relief material, including vital supplies, medicines, and other specialist personnel to the affected areas and accelerated the humanitarian response. Kamil Al-Awadhi, Regional Vice President, Africa and Middle East, IATA expressing condolences of the aviation community to Morocco, said “The impact of this tragedy has been felt worldwide. On behalf of IATA’s member airlines, we extend our sympathies to all those affected,” he said. “Our thoughts remain with the communities impacted by this devastating event. We commend the work of rescue teams, and the important role aviation is playing in facilitating immediate relief,” he added.
