As international airports move towards sustainability, Qatar is not far behind. Ioannis Metsovitis, Senior Vice President, Operations, Hamad International Airport, said, “The new Terminal 2 will be built on Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating framework, which is widely used green building rating system in the world. Available for virtually all building types, LEED provides a framework for efficient, and cost-saving green buildings. Qatar’s airport reviews its systems to identify areas of improvement for long-term efficiency and sustainability.” e-commerce movements have increased since the pandemic and after COVID, e-commerce flow continued to soar. Due to this, there will be more demand and Qatar Airways Cargo and we have fleet for this purpose, he added.
