Qatar-based Hamad International Airport has joined hands with Siemens to enhance its logistics infrastructure, as per official reports. The airport will use Siemens’ patented Demand Flow technology to reduce energy consumption and costs by 23 per cent annually. The partnership builds on an earlier collaboration, which ended last November, and is part of the airport’s commitment to reduce carbon efficiency by 30 per cent by 2030. The airport reduced greenhouse gas emissions by over 5,000 metric tonnes since first partnering with Siemens in 2021, with projected reduction of 16,000 tonnes per annum, beginning 2024.
