Hamad International Airport (DOH) marked a milestone in 2024 by achieving 12 per cent increase in cargo operations, handling 2.6 million tonnes (MT) of cargo and serving 52.7 million passengers—a 15 per cent increase compared to 2023, Hamad Ali Al-Khater, COO, DOH, said. Aircraft movements rose to 279,000, up by 10 per cent year-on-year. Baggage handling efficiency improved by 10 per cent, with 41.3 million bags processed. “Our record-breaking achievements underscore our vision of establishing Qatar as a premier global hub for connectivity, commerce, and tourism. These results highlight our operational efficiency and consistent pursuit of innovation,” he added.
