Hamad air cargo traffic goes up by 12% in first half of 2024

Doha-based Hamad International Airport cargo traffic spiked by 12 per cent in the first half of 2024 in comptarison to the same period last year. A total of 1.25 million tonnes of cargo was handled on the airport during the January-June period. In the month of June only, the airport handled 213,873 tonnes of cargo. Through the gateway, more than 138,471 aircraft movements took place between January-June period this year, representing an astonishing 19 per cent increase year-on-year. The Hamad International Airport has already concluded the first phase of its airport expansion project, which has crucially enhanced cargo capacity.
