Hafeet Rail fortifies logistics integration with new facilities

Hafeet Rail has implemented construction agreement to build new logistics facilities in Al Buraimi and Sohar to reinforce logistics integration, cargo handling efficiency for bulk, containerised, and breakbulk goods, Ahmed bin Ali Al Bulushi, Board Member, Hafeet Rail and CEO, Asyad Drydock & Infrastructure Services, said. “By fortifying cross-border linkage between Oman and the UAE, we are optimising supply chain efficiency and positioning our integrated logistics ecosystem as a key enabler of trade competitiveness and economic growth. This rail link will unlock unprecedented trade potential, catalyse high-impact investment opportunities, and position the region as a logistical powerhouse in the global economy,” he added. The Sohar facility will feature maintenance provisions for locomotives and wagons, ensuring long-term performance. The high-performance wagons are designed to optimise cargo movement across varied freight types.
