According to the latest air cargo market analysis by Xeneta, the spot rates have increased globally for 6th consecutive month in a row in 2024. The average global cargo rates rose to $2.66/kg in July 2024., which is 20% higher YoY. Due to a massive 13% YoY growth in global air cargo demand in H1, the cargo spot rates are continuously going up. On the other hand, the global air cargo supply grew up marginally at 2% YoY which led to a significant increase in the cargo load factor reaching 59% in July 2024. The Middle East & Central Asia – Europe region experienced highest growth among all regions in the air cargo spot rates, with a 126% spike the spot rates in July 2024 were $3.16/kg.
