Emirates SkyCargo has introduced a weekly Boeing 777 freighter to Copenhagen Airport, enhancing its network of freighter destinations to 38, Mette Jensen, Cargo Manager, Scandinavia, Emirates SkyCargo, said. The new service, offering 85 tonnes of capacity, caters to Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, replacing the previous belly capacity in passenger aircraft. Driven by a 20 per cent surge in volumes from Denmark in the last financial year, the freighter will support diverse cargo needs, especially pharma, perishables and general goods, ensuring swift and reliable transport from Copenhagen. “Demand has been strong across Scandinavia, with growth in Copenhagen, and we expect this to continue into the next fiscal,” Jensen highlighted.
