Emirates expands capacity with Dubai-Melbourne flight

Emirates will launch a third non-stop daily service between Dubai and Melbourne on 30 March 2025, using a retrofitted four-class Boeing 777-300ER, according to as company statement. This expansion will increase the airline’s weekly cargo capacity in and out of Australia to over 2,350 tonnes. The new direct flight, EK404/405, will enhance Emirates’ ability to support trade between the UAE and Australia, particularly following the recent CEPA signed between the two nations. This agreement aims to bolster economic ties, trade, and private-sector collaboration. By ceasing its Singapore-Melbourne operations, the airlines will streamline its cargo and passenger services, strengthening connectivity to 27 European destinations via Dubai, the statement added.
