Dubai South and Aldar Properties will develop a custom-built facility for Kuehne+Nagel at EZDubai, an e-commerce hub in Dubai South. The facility, spanning 22,915 square meters, is strategically located near Al Maktoum International Airport and Jebel Ali Port, with completion expected by Q2 2025.
The new logistics center will offer third-party logistics (3PL), e-commerce, and goods handling services, featuring office space, warehousing, and amenities. Designed for LEED Silver certification, the facility incorporates energy-saving elements and an innovative flooring system using high-performance steel fibers from repurposed tire wire, enhancing strength and reducing carbon footprint. The agreement was signed at Dubai South headquarters by Mohsen Ahmad, CEO of Logistics District, Dubai South; Jonathan Emery, CEO of Aldar Development; and Lee I’Ons, GCC+ Managing Director at Kuehne+Nagel.
“We are pleased to sign this agreement with Kuehne+Nagel, who will benefit from our state-of-the-art infrastructure,” said Ahmad. “Our partnership with Aldar is strategic in establishing Dubai as one of the top five logistics hubs globally.”
Emery emphasized the collaboration’s significance: “The logistics sector presents a promising opportunity for Aldar. We are building scalable facilities that meet the high demand from global firms like Kuehne+Nagel.”
