DP World achieved record trade volumes in 2024, handling 15.5 million TEUs—its highest since 2015 and one million TEU increase from the previous year, contributing nearly 18 per cent of DP World’s total 88.3 million TEUs, according to Abdulla Bin Damithan, CEO & Managing Director, DP World GCC. “Breakbulk cargo also surged, growing 23 per cent YoY to 5.4 million MTs, marking the port’s second-best performance in a decade. “This performance reflects the strength of our world-class ports and logistics infrastructure. The 15.5 million TEUs handled at Jebel Ali in 2024, along with growth in break bulk cargo, shows our capacity to meet increasing demand in sectors. We are well-positioned to support the region’s growing trade volumes,” he added.
