DP World emphasised the need for supply chains to adapt to shifting retailer demands at its annual Global Freight Summit 2024. As per a release, held from 18 to 20 November, the event drew 10,000 logistics professionals from 155 countries to discuss solutions for bolstering global trade resilience amid uncertainty. Discussions underscored the importance of innovation, hyper-personalised services, and partnerships to address evolving challenges. Technology, particularly AI, was highlighted as a cornerstone for supply chain resilience, with the market for AI in supply chains projected to reach US$41.23 billion by 2030, offering efficiency gains, cost savings, and risk mitigation.
