dnata has received IATA Corporate Certification for competency-based training and assessment (CBTA) for dangerous goods. The achievement is a result of dnata’s investment in process improvement across its airport operations businesses. Steve Allen, CEO, dnata Group, said, “We are proud to continue to lead the way in the handling of dangerous goods across our operations. We persistently invest in our training programme and implement the latest global best practices to deliver the highest standards of safety and quality.” The company’s recent initiatives include the launch of a dedicated dangerous goods working group. This global team conducted an 18-month wholesale review of how dnata assesses and delivers dangerous goods training needs complying with IATA framework approach. The solutions were implemented in January 2023, ensuring quality and competency throughout dnata’s global operations. dnata’s businesses underwent a comprehensive audit process by IATA between March and August 2023, covering all aspects of its Training Management Systems and the delivery of the Dangerous Goods CBTA programme.
