dnata is all set to increase its cargo handling capacity at Zürich Airport by over 50 per cent. This expansion involves a new 9,500m² advanced warehouse facility, with construction already underway and completion slated for 2027. The new Rächtenwisen warehouse will feature 20 truck docking ramps, separate areas for import and export processing, and specialised zones for hazardous goods. It will also include temperature-controlled areas for pharmaceuticals and perishable items. Highlighting its commitment to sustainability, dnata plans to install solar PV panels on the facility’s roof, aligning with its goal to halve global carbon emissions and landfill waste by 2030. “Securing this facility at Zürich Airport is a significant milestone. This new warehouse will enable us to exceed customer expectations with top-tier cargo handling services. We remain committed to investing in our workforce, infrastructure, and equipment to elevate our operations in Switzerland,” Wily Ruf, MD, dnata Switzerland, remarked.
