DCAA announced growth in drone ecosystem during 2023-24, indicating a rise of 76 per cent in registered drone pilots, 53 per cent growth in registered drone firms, and 75 per cent increase in drone operations every month. This growth highlights the role of drone technology in enhancing air transport and logistics services, strengthening Dubai’s advanced regulatory framework and modern infrastructure. “The surge underlines the efforts made to develop the drone ecosystem in Dubai and demonstrates our commitment to driving innovation propelling the future of air transport. At the DCAA, we strive to establish Dubai as a global destination for innovation by launching initiatives contributing to achieving the highest safety standards and operational efficiency in this sector,” Mohammed Abdulla Lengawi, Director-General, DCAA, said.
