Advanced Mobility Hub (AMH) has announced the launch of the UAE’s first trial vertiport in Abu Dhabi, supported by the Smart and Autonomous Systems Council. AMH has conducted the emirate’s first self-driving test at the Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal, part of AD Ports Group. The company has also signed a collaboration agreement with ADNOC, AD Ports Group, and e& to explore e-VTOL transport logistics for cargo operations, aiming to improve efficiency while reducing costs and carbon emissions. “The signing of the pact marks a pivotal step in promoting innovation in the air transport sector, using autonomous aircraft to deliver advanced logistics solutions,” Abdulla Mohammed Al Marzouqi, Director General, Abu Dhabi Mobility, said.
