Abu Dhabi Airports handled 143,979 tonnes of air freight during the third quarter of this year. Also, Abu Dhabi’s connectivity expanded with 119 destinations served from Abu Dhabi International Airport by 24 airlines. The destinations being served during Q3 included London, Cairo, Doha among others. Elena Sorlini, MD and Interim CEO, said, “We are attracting major international airlines to Abu Dhabi. Air France and SunExpress are scheduled to start this IATA Winter season. We also welcome British Airways’ recent announcement to return to Abu Dhabi in April 2024. Terminal A brings a host of new capabilities and facilities.”
