The A2RL X DCL Drone STEM Programme, a joint initiative by UNICEF, A2RL, and the Drone Champions League (DCL), has successfully trained 100 students across four ACTVET schools in the UAE, equipping them with critical drone operation in logistics. The seven-week program featured hands-on workshops and an optional TOP Level 1 Certification, preparing students for careers in drone-powered logistics and smart mobility. With the global drone industry projected to hit $208.38 billion by 2032, this initiative helps bridge the STEM skills gap, ensuring a future-ready workforce for logistics, agriculture, and AI-driven industries. Michael Scheibenreif, UNICEF representative, said, “By adapting a proven curriculum and combining our strengths with A2RL and DCL, we are not only delivering cutting-edge drone technology training but also paving the way for global partnerships that will benefit communities far beyond the UAE. Our ADDA graduates are typically using drones and drone captured data to improve last miles delivery and logistics.”
