7% rise in cargo volumes transported from KSA: Report

The total cargo quantity transported from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia via air reached 918,000 tonnes, reflecting a 7 per cent increase from the previous year, a statement stated. Air Transport Statistics Publication for 2023 was recently released by the General Authority for Statistics, KSA. As per the report, December emerged as the peak month for air freight, recording the highest cargo quantity of 93,000 tonnes. This surge in air cargo was supported by a network of 40 cargo facilities across the Kingdom’s airports, facilitating the efficient movement of goods and products. These figures demonstrate the resilience and expansion of the air freight sector in the Kingdom, showcasing its capacity to handle growing volumes of cargo and contribute to the overall transportation ecosystem.
