The UAE’s air cargo sector increased by 17.8 per cent to reach 4.36 million tonnes, up from 3.7 million tonnes in 2023, while civil aviation sector too achieved growth, His Excellency Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy, UAE, and Chairman, GCAA, said. “These figures are not just growth indicators; they are testament to the strength of the UAE’s sector and its key role in supporting the national economy. The sector continues to enhance the country’s position as a global hub for air transport, trade, tourism, and investment. This progress is a result of our leadership’s vision, which has laid the foundation for a competitive aviation sector that has gained global confidence,” His Excellency Al Marri added.
